About Anja Esther Riemer
Directing, acting, creating content, etc. Anja Riemer seeks to do it all. Anja has always sought creativity in her day to day life and has found so much purpose in pursuing it. Whether it was wanting to be an artist in her early years to now pursuing film and theater directing.
However, it wasn’t until her first theater show in middle school, Lion King Jr., that she realised she had a talent and passion for acting. The following year she would get to play The Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland Jr. which was a huge stepping stone in Anja finding herself as a creative. Her senior year she also got the opportunity to be a part of her first play. She happily landed the role of Miss Scarlet in CLUE: The-Stay-at-Home-Edition.
Her love of theater opened the door to a love for film. Anja went on to study motion pictures at Belmont University where she got the opportunity to write and direct two short films. Her love of rom-coms shined through these two films with a coming of age film titled, “Confessions of an Amateur Poet,” and a period piece romance titled “Miss Austen.” Her training in directing circled back to theater when she had the opportunity to co-direct a show at the music school, Bach to Rock. She co-directed Alice in Rockland, a rock rendition of the classic tale, and then later went to assist with the school's performances of Goosebumps: The Musical: Phantom of the Auditorium.
